Sure, its hard to dodge lazers while trying to take down tie fighters and keep your son sleeping the whole time. We all just have to try our hardest I suppose.

Fire and Rescue
Neighbor called the Fire Department (not sure why, nothing happened). Regardless, Desmond was able to bear witness to this large truck with an equally large-sounding diesel engine idle in front of the house for a moment or two.

Energy Harvest
A very cool solar panel setup on top of a parking garage (Morristown Parking Authority building). The whole building was built "green" using daylighting, geothermal water temperature regulation and the above solar installation to name a few.

Subway
I can no longer continue project 365. Shifts in my work schedule make it hard for me to stick to taking a picture a day, and if it feels forced the work produced is poor. I will still take and post photographs to this blog though so keep it locked!
This is the subway coming home from Brooklyn the night of Pia's art show and meeting Michael at Food Swings. Des had a great time riding the trains, though the first two minutes were looking grim we were able to turn it around!

New York Penn 160/365
On our way home from Brooklyn we had ~45 minutes for the train to arrive. Des was such a fun kid all day, he enjoyed the trains and had a blast at Pia's art show.

Cypress 159/365
A nice day at Tabbys Place in Ringoes, NJ. Cypress lives with one of Des' favorite cats, Max.

Disappointment 158/365
Waiting and waiting for these high-output cooler lights to come in, and its a box full of glass and mercury dust (supposed to be 10 fluorescent tubes).

Animal Hole 156/365
A recent facination: the two holes in our yard which we postulate were made by baby chipmunks. He loves to leave grapes for the to eat.

Almost two! 147/365
The day before his big birthday! Round two of night-weaning is starting off well, I made up a story about the Ninja Turtles saving a rabbit, then saving the rabbits friend.

Red Paint 145/365
Finally done painting this room at work red, after one coat of primer and four of "red delicious." I must say it does look pretty good.

Bathtime! 142/365
I remember thinking this bathtub was huge when I was young, and that swimming inside of it seemed like a feasable possibility. Its fun to watch someone go through that whole thing again!

Chopsticks! 139/365
First try at cheater-chopsticks was a success! He even picked up a chunk of rice and ate it without dropping a bit!

Garlic 134/365
Making dinner together was fun! When your counter space is an 18" square you find creative spaces to prepare and stage ingredients and food. Regardless the broiled tofu with sauteed veggies smothered in cheezy sauce was amazing!

Chute 133/365
Crusted with old milk. The hydraulic ram drives back and forth methodically, performing its job day and night.

Fork Club 128/365
A gathering of many forks usually brings a great feast or an angry mob chasing someone down. I'm always hoping for the feast.

Blizzard 126/365
Crazy day with our first blizzard in a while in North Jersey. Snow was flying horizontally and we have at least 12" on the ground now.

Winter Spillway 124/365
This spillway is always drawing me near to photograph it. Today I wore my barn boots out on a little winter hike with Des and my brother and learned while taking this picture (standing in a foot of water) that my boots had a leak.

Sleeper 123/365
This truck has been sleeping soundly in the parking lot at work for two nights. I always wonder what trucks are hauling. Trucking is intriguing to me because on one hand its very precise and can get goods to smaller and more remote areas, at the same time its very inefficient compared to rail freight. Either way, I love the sound of Jake Brakes.
