My aren't you up so late! Was reading the strobist website today which inspired me to try using the pop-up flash on the camera.

20 Pound Sledge 54/265
Found this in the shed, next to the wood chipper. I promise there are no human remains in my garden...

50/365 These boots were made for walking.
I worked as an apprentice on an organic farm in New Jersey for two years, it was an amazing experience. More than anything I learned how to be a generalist which seems to help me more and more everyday.

Wide Passaic 49/365
Always a good stroll through the woods in Passaic River Park. How did it take 26 years for me to find this place?

Chex 48/365
Discovering both the joys of using a spoon to feed oneself cereal and the crunch of corn chex in the same day is divine.

47/365 Self semi family portrait
Honestly did not have much time to shoot a great photo today, equally as embarrased to admit this was taken with autofocus on the exposure program setting.

Hiram 46/365
Gave my first guitar lesson in a long time today. Its really fun to see someone improve and be able to play a power chord from nothing in 15 minutes.

Gerald Edward 44/365
Went to see a friend rock out in a library. It was an awesome time, I mostly heard the set from the kids room playing with Brio trains but got a quick chance to snap this one from the back.

Window 43/365
My mother told me as a child one of my favorite activities was sitting and looking out of the window. Its such a peaceful activity, it can be thoughtful and reflective or quiet and meditative.

High Mountain Park 41/365
Visiting the Alma matar (sp?) and was reminded of how awesome it is to have a campus set amongst 300 acres of woods. Desmond enjoyed scaling a "Mountain" and experiencing moss.

Rehearsal 38/365
Children playing around during a long wedding rehearsal. This would have worked out better at a smaller aperture but this is what I took.

Grainy cat 37/365
This is one of our cats Kale. He is very afraid of my camera so it took the patience of a nature photographer to get this shot. Dreary day led me to use the iso 3200 setting.

Another appreciation for the overcast light that comes around during blah fall days.

Playing in a leaf pile usually brings no objections, but it seems that this moment is the exception.

April til November 33/365
Though I am not a baseball fan now I was very fond of it as a child. We played tee-ball in fields like this, I was definitely never the star player but I had fun.

Old Spark Plugs 32/365
Got some time to wrench on cars today. Taught my brother how to change oil on his car and did the same to our car + long overdue new spark plugs.

Window Gazer 31/365
Looking back into the past month of photos I am certainly glad I started this project. Sure there are a few "Oh s&*t I need to post today" photos but for the most part having my camera with me everywhere has taught me to look for photos in everything. Heres to 11 more!

Snapshot 30/365
Taken a moment before midnight, too much drunken fun have made today unproductive photographically. None the less a visual record is needed.

Slide tube 27/265
Fun at the playground today. Des loves going down this slide feet first on his belly. Before going down he pokes his head down the slide to make sure the path is clear and announce himself.

You, are very good 26/365
First day that I took one single photograph to post. The guy working at the Exxon immediately asked why I was taking a picture, I explained to him I am trying to be a good photographer and take pictures everyday. He paused, smiled and you, "You, are very good!"
